If PopuTag’s database or backend system is hacked, will the coins on my PopuTag products be at risk?

PopuTag does not keep any copies of the private key on our database or anywhere else. Since we do not have possession of that information, the coins on your PopuTag products are not at risk, even if our database or backend system were hacked or physically accessed by an attacker. The private key are contained in chip form on the physical product itself, and nowhere else.
